As it applies to Illustration I am mainly a digital illustrator. I love to work on the computer. When I first began to illustrate I could not stand to work digitally. Now I am inseparable from my computer. I chose to use Dim Tones and Colors to create a mood of mystery and overall Darkness. I work in such a way in order to convey a macabre view toward the world.
Some of my current influences are from the work of Stjepan Sejic and Greg Capullo. Their works are dark and gritty. That type of atmosphere is what I will continue to push in my current and future Illustrative work.
From the Artistic past my strongest influence would have to be that of the great Italian artist known as Caravaggio. His work emphasized the strong push between the darkness and the light.
With Photography I shoot the Moment and go for capturing the Essence of the subject. I greatly enjoy capturing what is already there instead of artificially creating it.
My influences in photography would have to be that of Robert Frank and Diane Arbus. I find their subject matter to be a true and a relevant, yet ignored part of life.
I do the work I do because simply it is my purpose and love. I cannot imagine living a life without the ability of expressing myself artistically.
